So This Christmas...

As the old song goes. Merry Christmas to all of you from all of us. The grandkids got everything they wanted, the kids got what they wanted, and the wife got what she wanted. And oh yes, I got what I wanted...to see the smiles, and the light in their eyes as they opened their presents. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I have no idea why it is, it just is.

Now, to the serious shit...my blood-sugar is so high that my doc wants to put me on an insulin pump. Needless to say, we are not on speaking terms right now. I have heard too many stories about people having failures of some sort with the pumps. I don't plan on dying just yet. On the good side, on my last visit to the doc, I had LOST 12 pounds!!! That is pretty good for a diabetic. I can now fit in a 38 waist jeans! I would love to get back to my regular size of a 32 inch waist.

Sorry I haven't written in so long. My muse seems to have failed me lately. That may be due to the fact that I haven't been drinking at all of late. And since my oldest daughter gave us a full bottle of Skyy Vodka, maybe I can get my muse to return. She seems to love the drink!

So, as I said before, Merry Christmas to all of you, and if I am not back in time, Happy New Year to all. Love each other as if you were brother and sister, and may peace be with you and yours!

More News from the Homefront

...Good news, my youngest daughter found out today that she will be having...wait for it...a little girl! She was counting on a girl, so she is really jacked up right now. If she is happy, then so am I. Well, that is about all that is going on, so bye guys!

Trying Something New

I am trying out a new security software. So far it managed to completely screw up my computer. But I managed to finally work out all, or most, of the bugs. It is called "System Mechanic", and it does just about everything. It runs security, and it erases any files from the internet, giving you complete privacy at all times. It can be purchased at Wal-Mart for $35.00. At least that is what it costs in my area(Northeast Mississippi). It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, and excellent customer service. You might want to give it a try!

News From the Homefront

It is with mixed feelings that I write this entry. I have two news-worthy items, both from opposite ends of the spectrum of life. First off...on Sunday, May 30th, we buried my stepdad. I say "we"; only I and my little half-brother were in attendance. Two people showed up at a man's funeral, and they came out of an obligation. I hated the man, but never felt so sorry for someone. He wanted to be cremated, and his remains buried next to his mother. I have no idea why, he treated her like shit in life; why would he be any different in death?

Here is the other news...out of death comes life. My youngest daughter is pregnant! She is about two months along. My wife is about to kill her boyfriend, but I have managed to keep them apart. I must admit that I was very pissed-off when I was told. I have two reasons why I am not still mad...she is 18 years old, and can do as she pleases, and I don't want her upset while she is pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I am still mad, especially after all of the warnings to both of them about protection, and my quote of "don't bring no babies back here". That did no good at all.

Well, that is about all, except that our house is being filled to the brim with baby stuff; clothes, bottles, a babybed, and other essentials. The child will never want for anything, at least not as long as I walk this Earth. It will be spoiled as equally as my other grandchildren. Goodbye, untill you hear from me next!

Late Posting

...So, yesterday was my birthday. I turned 50 years old yesterday, and forgot to post it here! Maybe I was having a senior moment? Anyway, it was a great day, and I had fun. Next Saturday is my wife's birthday...that's right, her's is one week after mine. I cannot say how old she is, but she is younger than me. Well, have fun with each other, and remember to not name it after me if you have too much fun!

Holla' If You Hear Me!!!

Well, how's tricks, kids? Anyone want to go first? OK, well then, I will. So, it turns out that Mr. Obama is nothing more than a token black at this point. I still believe Hilary Clinton was paid to drop out of the race so that we could have a black man as president! Not that he will actually DO ANYTHING! Anyway, enough about nothing.

Let me see, what is new. Oh! My youngest daughter isn't so young anymore, she is now 18 years old! Yes, she is still at home, and in school full time. She still has another full year of school next year! She had to start school late because of her birthday. Right now she is looking forward to this year's prom....can anyone say "expensive"?

What else is going around? My little grandson is now six years old, and his sister will be 10 years old this summer! Me, well I will be 50 next month! Fifty years old! Can you believe it? And yes, I am as grouchy as ever! This old bear just refuses to change much.

We had snow here this winter four seperate times. That hasn't happened in recent memory! We are lucky to get at least one day of snow per winter. A large water main burst back in January, and we had to go to the next town that my oldest girl lives in to stock up on water for a whole week! We had containers of water sitting everywhere in the house! My youngest girl even missed a week from school; it was shut down due to lack of water.

Yeah, yeah, I hear some of you out there, "what about your wife"? She is still around. Whatever...Oh, for those of you that follow me, my blood-sugar levels are STILL high...too high as it turns out. The Insulin that I am on isn't working. I tried some new Insulin, and got the same results. So, I seem to be losing the fight on that front. Oh well.

For now, play nice with each other, untill you hear from me next...

Happy New Year!

Hey, everyone, how's tricks? So, here we are in a new year, and I still have nothing to say. I am trying to lose some more weight. No, it is NOT one of those silly "New Year's Resolutions". I hate that shit...lofty goals that almost no one ever attains! Screw that, I just take it as it comes, and then deal with it...best as I can. We had a good Christmas, I guess. The grandkids went to Old Mexico with their parents (how the fuck else would they get there?). They had a ball down there!

Ok, what else...not much, I guess. My blood-sugar levels are still far too high. The insulin seems to not be able to control it. So, what the fuck else is new? I am getting used to being screwed over here lately, anyway. So, take care, and maybe I will slit my wrists, or walk out in front of a truck, to end this farce that some call a life! Now wouldn't you just LOVE to read about THAT???
